Discover Lima's Culinary and Cocktail Scene at Hotel B.

Under the guidance of Jose Luis Valencia, Hotel B's master mixologist and all around fun guy to hang out with - guests will learn how to prepare three craft cocktails which vary according the the season. Past selections include unique house creations such as the Cantante Calva, the Basílico and the Dirty Dakiri. The Cocktail Class at Hotel B is great way to kick-off or celebrate the end of a trip to Peru with groups of friends, couples or families with adult children (sorry, this one isn't for youngsters).  For larger groups, the experience is facilitated around a long table in a private room.  Rates start at $60 per person and must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.  Contact eventos@hotelb.pe to arrange. 

A Culinary Voyage Through the Peruvian Kitchen: 5 hours

Discover Lima's food scene like a chef on this curated experience. Accompanied by one of the hotel's expert culinary guides, you'll begin with coffee at a local roaster, Tostaduria Bisetti, where a coffee specialist will lead you in sampling several coffees made from different Peruvian beans. Thoroughly caffeinated, continue to Mercado Local de San Isidro, one of Lima's largest food markets.  Here you'll meet the vendors and learn about the dizzying array of produce, potatoes and fish on display. Sample a variety of exotic Peruvian fruits, savor some ice cream (Lucuma is the most beloved flavor) and then return to Hotel B for the hand's on cooking class.

Guided by the chef, venture into Hotel B's kitchen for instruction on how to prepare several Peruvian classics. Begin with a Pisco Sour and then work your way through the technique and craft of preparing perfect Peruvian Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. For dessert you'll prepare Crunchy Cherimoya which highlights a fruit from the Amazon sometimes called the 'custard apple."  After your hard work in the kitchen, enjoy the delicious lunch that you just prepared and toast your newfound knowledge of Peruvian cuisine. 

This culinary experience is for a minimum of two guests (14 years and older please) priced at $210 per person. 48 hours advanced booking is required; for food allergies or dietary restrictions, please give even more advance notice. Don't have all day? Ask about the 1 hour Pisco Sour & Ceviche experience. We recommend this on a sunny day when you can enjoy the class on Hotel B's rooftop patio.
